Nordic walking

The park opened in October 2006 and it was the first of its kind in Norway.

Nordic Walking started in Finland in 1997 as a fitness sport, and it is a popular form of excercise in Norway too

Use of sticks has long traditions in cross-country skiing, and this technique has been further developed for use of sticks when walking. Custom made sticks adapted to each participant are used. The technique is easy to learn and you get a unique workout where most muscles are used. This is a sport that suits everyone, both the regular exerciser and the top athlete.
The nature in Vrådal is perfect for Nordic Walking. The trails are easy to moderate on the scale used by the German company "Nature Fitness Park", who planned the park and delivered signs and boards. The 9 trails waries in length from 1.2 km to 7.8 km. There has been an emphasis on finding trails that give you an opportunity to experience the rich nature that Vrådal has to offer. Signs with excersises are placed on particularly beautiful spots.

The park consists for 9 trails starting from 5 trail heads - all clearly marked on the map. Each trail is rated according to level of difficulty and illustrated with a diagram showing the profile.

Panorama Route

The trail is 7.8 km and runs in flat and easy terrain. You'll pass one lock and two bridges. The open landscape with lakes, forest, fields and meadows, shows the variety of Vrådal nature. The trail runs over flat and easy terrain. The trail is identical to route 9, but with a different trail head. Start and park at Vrådal Panorama skisenter.
